Women To Graduate From West Point Academy And Make History!

This year West Point Military Academy is making history thanks to their newest graduating class. The military academy is celebrating the 32 beautiful black women who will be receiving their diplomas next week. This 2019 grad class marks the largest graduating class in the academy's 217 year history! It is reported that this year's class also has the largest number of female Hispanic graduates as well. Not only that but, after this year's graduation ceremony the academy will mark it's 5,000th female cadet graduate since it's establishment in 1980.

Shalela Dowdy, a West Point Alumni had this to say about the major milestone for her alma mater:

“There were only 13 in my class, I just counted, but the numbers keep going up and up. It’s encouraging and inspiring to see leaders graduating from the school that are from all different kinds of backgrounds and represent the diversity of the army itself,”

Vice President Mike Pence will be speaking at the graduation ceremony on May 25, according to a news release from the academy.

Talk about wonder women! Congrats, continue to spread your magic all over the world ladies!
