New Jersey Man Scammed 2 Million Out of Woman On Online Dating Sites

This is taking being a catfish to a whole new level, last Wednesday a New Jersey man was arrested after scamming over 30 woman out of 2 million online after meeting them on various internet dating sites.

Rubbin Sarpong (35) who is being charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud went online pretending to be a US military personnel stationed overseas who was looking for some loving back home in the states.

Not only was he pretending to be someone else he also stole other peoples identities to make up these fake accounts. Apparently Sarpong would tell the woman he needed the money to get gold bars to the USA but was really keeping all the money for himself, the woman would send him the cash through various wire transfers, checks, etc.
