Yellowcard Hits Juice Wrld With a $15 M Lawsuit Over 'Lucid Dreams' Song

Juice Wrld is being sued by punk pop band Yellowcard for his hit single ‘Lucid Dreams.’ The copyright infringement lawsuit claims that the single illegally sampled elements of their 2006 song “Holly Wood Died.”

In addition to Juice WRLD, the suit names co-writer Taz Taylor, producer Nick Mira, publisher BMG Rights Management, record label Grade A Productions, Interscope Records, and more. 'Lucid Dreams,' was officially released in May 2018 and the suit claims the "overwhelming success" of the song launched Juice Wrld's career, and gave him "substantial opportunities to tour and perform" around the globe.

Yellowcard’s members are seeking $15 million, royalties, and co-ownership of the song. You can listen to ‘Lucid Dreams’ below.
